I am pretending my favorite season has arrived. Spring! We got a taste of it last week when the temperatures zipped to 73 glorious degrees. People were out in shorts, the parks were full of strollers and baseball practice was in full swing.
I was one of the park walkers last Thursday. People were dressed in all sorts of green attire as they were walking through Central Park from the St. Patrick's Day parade on 5th Avenue. I had not been in the park for months so I really took my time. I sat to breathe the air of the pines trees, listen to the first birds of the spring and even took a wee snooze. I felt more refreshed and energized after 2 hours in the park than a nap at home.
We all need to take a nature break. We were not created to be cooped up inside all the time. Nature reconnects us to the healing energies of the earth! And to make myself more "earthy" today I bought burdock root. It looks like a tree limb and has marvelous abilities to purify the bood of toxins and help clean the colon. This is a great way to spring clean my insides. Now I need to find someone to do the apartment.
Go out and enjoy this pre-spring season and see how it can rejuvenate you!
